Corona cases are rising exponentially in the state of Andhra Pradesh.The state government is looking forward to imposing a night curfew in the wake of the increase in positive corona cases.
In the last 24 hours, 8,987 new corona-positive cases have been reported in AP, according to the state medical health department.These are the highest number of daily cases that have come to the limelight in the state since the beginning of the Second Wave.
In addition, the number of people infected with the virus in AP so far has reached 9,76,987.
Yesterday alone, 35 people died due to corona.
With this, the number of deaths due to the virus in Andhra Pradesh has reached 7,472.In Nellore 8, 5 deaths in Chittoor, 5 deaths in Kadapa, 3 deaths in Anantapur, 3 deaths in Krishna, 3 deaths in Srikakulam, 2 deaths in Kurnool, 2 deaths each in Prakasam, East Godavari, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayanagaram.
In the past 24 hours, 3,116 people have recovered from Covid.This brings the total number of discharges in the state so far to 9,15,626.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state is 53,889.Yesterday, 37,922 samples were tested.
So far, the total number of corona tests in AP has reached 1,57,53,679.
