Vijay Deverakonda To Play Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman

Youth sensation Vijay Deverakondas career graph has fallen after his last success Geetha Govindam, as his last two releases Dear Comrade and World Famous Lover have bombed at the box office.

He is currently busy with Bollywood debut with a Pan India film tentatively titled as Fighter which is being directed by star director Puri Jagannadh.

Now according to the latest updates coming in from Bollywood circles, Vijay Deverakonda is in talks for a straight Bollywood film which will be produced by one of India’s finest filmmakers, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.Buzz is that the film is based on the Balakot Air Strike that took place in 2019 and Vijay be playing the role of Abhinandan Varthaman, the braveheart Indian Air Force officer who was captured by the Pakistani Army at the border.

Abhinandan was later released by the Pakistan Government.The film will also have reference to the Pulwama Terrorist attack which happened last year.

Talented director Abhishek Kapoor of Rock on, Kai Po Che, and Kedarnath fame is said to be directing this film.Though Vijay Deverakonda loved the script, he is yet to sign the dotted line.

If he agrees to do the film, then it is expected to be a turning point for him in Bollywood! .
