T’gana govt deployed huge police force at Jurala project

The Telangana state government deployed a large scale police force at irrigation projects and dams in the state in the wake of the controversy over the Krishna River waters.

The government has deployed armed police forces at Telangana dams and power plants.

As part of this, the govt deployed heavy police personnel at the Jurala project.Police have been blocking traffic on the Jurala Dam since this morning.

Currently, in the wake of the ongoing inter-state water disputes between Telangana and AP, the Telangana police department deployed a large scale police force at the irrigation projects as per the instructions of the higher authorities.Police are being vigilant and are clearing traffic at the Jurala project.

Police have issued orders to cancel their trips to the tourists who have planned their trips over the Jurala project.Also, the police personnel locked the gates on either side of the Jura project.

Similarly, the Telangana police have increased security at the left bank gate of Srisailam Dam.Vehicles and staff going to the left power station are sent only after a thorough inspection.
