Suresh Babu Gives A Clarity On ‘Drushyam 2’ OTT Release

Malayalam star Mohanlal starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ is winning the hearts of movie lovers.

The movie ‘Drishyam 2’, helmed by Jeethu Joseph, opted for a direct release on the popular OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video.

As we all know, Venkatesh Daggubati who has done the remake of ‘Drishyam’ 7 years ago is now working on the sequel ‘Drushyam 2’ as well and shooting has already completed with the director of the Malayalam sequel Jeetu Joseph directing it in Telugu too.Ever since the shoot has been wrapped up, there have rumors going around the film circles that Drushyam 2 will skip its theatrical release due to the ongoing COVID-19 second wave in the country and that the film will directly premiere on a leading OTT platform in either May or June. Suresh Babu who is one of the producers of the film denied these rumors and clarified that Drushyam 2 will have its theatrical release first after which the OTT premiere will follow.

Meena and Ester Anil reprised their roles from the original, whereas Kruthika replaced Ansiba Hassan while Nadhiya will continue in the role of the police officer.On the work front, Venkatesh is waiting for the release of Naarappa that is the remake of the blockbuster Tamil film ‘Asuran’ starring Dhanush.

He is also working with Anil Ravipudi for the movie F3 which is the sequel to ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’ which was a comedy entertainer.Keep watching this space for more updates! .
