Salman Khan’s hit and run case verdict

Bollywood super star Salman Khans fate in the 2002 hit-and-run case will be known on May 6.

The Mumbai sessions court, which is hearing the case today said that it will announce the judgment in the 13 year-old case on May 6.

If convicted Salman faces a 10-year prison term.Both sides completed their final arguments today.

While the defence claimed that Salmans driver Ashok Singh was driving the car when the accident took place in Bandra area of Mumbai, the prosecution rubbished them pointing out that the driver was silent for almost 13 years.Khan is accused for running his Land Cruiser on the foot path near a bakery in the suburb of Bandra in Mumbai on September 28, 2002.

In that incident, Salman killed one person and injured four others.Nurullah Mehboob Sharif succumbed to his injuries and four others - Munna Malai Khan, Kalim Mohammed Pathan, Abdullah Rauf Shaikh and Muslim Sheikh were injured.
