Popular OTT Platform’s Tamil Anthology With Five Acclaimed Filmmakers

Just like Netflixs Lust Stories, Amazon Prime Video is now coming up with a series of short films.

Amazon Prime Video has announced Putham Pudhu Kaalai, an anthology of five Tamil short films filmed during the pandemic and featuring stories about hope, love, new beginnings, and second chances.

The popular OTT platform has roped in 5 acclaimed Tamil filmmakers- Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sudha Kongara, Rajiv Menon, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, and Karthik Subbaraj, who directed 5 different short films each featuring various actors.While Gautham Menon’s film, titled Avarum Naanum.Avalum Naanum, features Ritu Varma and MS.Bhaskar in lead roles, Sudha Kongara’s film is titled Ilamai Idho Idho and it stars Kalidas and Kalyani Priyadarshan.On the other hand, ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon’s film, titled Reunion, has popular actress Andrea Jeremiah and Leela Samson in lead roles.

Suhasini’s short film features Anu Haasan and star heroine Shruti Haasan and the film is titled Coffee, Anyone?.Lastly, Karthik Subbaraj has roped in Bobby Simha and Muthukumar for his film, titled Miracle.

Putham Pudhu Kaalai was shot in compliance with rules and regulations set by the Film Employees’ Federation of South India (FEFSI) for filming during the ‘Unlock’ phase.This anthology will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from October 16th.
