Nitish takes oath as Bihar CM for 8th time, Tejashwi again becomes dy CM

Patna 10 Aug : Just a day after declaring a big alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal and other opposition parties following its breakaway from the BJP, Nitish Kumar on Wednesday took the oath of Bihar Chief Minister for the eighth time.Along with Nitish, Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader was also sworn in as the new oath of the deputy CM.

Nitish Kumar also addressed Tehashwi Yadav with a warm welcome.Before heading to Raj Bhawan Nitish Kumar had a conversation with RJD Chief Lalu Prasad over the phone.

Following the oath CM Nitish Kumar stated: "After the 2020 Assembly election, I did not intend to be the chief minister of Bihar.Our party suffered a loss following the decision to join with the BJP.The situation deteriorated in the past two months." Kumar said.

During the ceremony the former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap Yadav, Tejashwis wife Rajshree and others from the leadership of JD(U) and RJD were in attendance at the event.Following the swearing-in ceremony Rabri Devi stated: "The new government will be beneficial for the development of both the state and nation." In response to questions about the mishaps made during the previous RJD administration, she said that her party will work hard in the interests of the people of all ages.

"Due to the grace of God and how media reported these issues in the past, we have come to the position of power.We thank each person of Bihar and the media and everyone else," Rabri Devi said.

Tej Pratap Yadav further stated that the government that is under the direction of Nitish Kumar would be working for the youth.Nitish Kumar was elected the chief minister of Bihar in March 2000 November 2005 November 2005, November 2010 February 2015 November 2015 July 2017, November 2020, and August 10, 2022.

Tejashwi Yadav was sworn the swearing-in of the deputy CM of Bihar in November of 2015, and has been elected Bihars deputy CM since August 10, 2022.ajk/dp.
