In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, the producer of Sitara Entertainments, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, opened up about the failure of Ranarangam (2019) and the lessons learned from it.According to Naga Vamsi, Ranarangam was an experimental film that aimed to showcase a young artist as an elder, but the response from the masses suggested that the experiment was unnecessary.The film resulted in a financial loss for the company, which was a valuable lesson for the producers.
Naga Vamsi also revealed that his father, producer Chinababu, had expressed doubts about the project, but they went ahead with it anyway.He acknowledged that they should have listened to his fathers concerns and not taken unnecessary risks.
Suryadevara Radhakrishna, also known as Chinababu, is a well-known producer who established Harika and Hasini Creations with Trivikram Srinivas.The production house only produced films directed by Trivikram.Sitara Entertainments was established as an affiliate of this company, and Naga Vamsi, Chinababus nephew, was made the producer.
Most of the films produced under Sitara Entertainments have been successful, including Buttabomma and Sar released this year.The company is currently producing Tillu Square, Panja Vaishnav Tejs fourth film, and another project.
