MLA Raja Singh likely to get place in BJP First poll Candidates list

Suspended in August last year from the BJP, T.Raja Singh, the Goshamahal Controversial MLA who was the sole winner from the party in 2018, could well figure in the first list of the party candidates for the upcoming elections.

Highly placed sources in the BJP said that the party’s high command was told of the importance of announcing the nomination of Raja Singh from Goshamahal when the party announces its first list, likely towards the end of this month.

Sources said the high command was told that if Raja Singh’s name did not figure in the first list, it would send very wrong signals to the cadre; his inclusion would contribute to injecting some fighting spirit among the party workers currently wallowing in self-doubt."The rifts within the party, the public infighting between some leaders, and the Congress campaign that the BJP and the BRS are together have been a serious drain on the party.

Raja Singh’s return to the fold could help us revive the fighting spirit," a senior party leader in the know about the discussions on this matter, said.Earlier, state BJP president G Kishan Reddy had said that the party leadership would take an appropriate decision at the right time about revoking Raja Singh’s suspension.

The BJP had suspended him for some comments on Prophet Muhammad, which led to huge Controversy.
