Kim Jong-un was sick with the flu in the course of Covid outbreak.

Seoul 11 August : Kim Yo-jong who is the younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, announced that her brother was "fallen down" with "high fever" in the nations battle against Covid-19 as a state media report stated on Thursday.

The announcement came three months after the country reported its first case of Covid-19, according to a report of Pyongyangs official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).In her address, Kim Yo-jong who is also vice director of the department of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers Party of Korea blamed the countrys viral crises on "hysteric farce" that has come from South Korea to intensify tensions and reiterated the assertion that "alien things" from the South brought the virus to the North, Yonhap News Agency quoted the KCNA report as saying.

In the last month the North claimed that its coronavirus outbreak was caused by alien items found near the inter-Korean border, referring to balloon-carried items distributed by North Korean defector groups in South Korea, such as anti-Pyongyang leaflets.She later disclosed that her brother was sick with "high fever" himself during the nations fight against viruses and she praised Kim Jong-uns efforts in tackling the situation.

Pyongyang has announced the first case of Covid-19 on May 12,, after declaring that it had been coronavirus-free for two years.Then, it instituted nationwide lockdowns.

The Norths daily fever count has been zero since July 29 , after it peaking at more than 392,920 on May 15.In his remarks to the gathering Kim Jong-un "declared victory in the most urgent anti-epidemic effort to eradicate the novel coronavirus that invaded our territory and defending peoples life as well as the health of those affected" according to the KCNA report said.He also announced the decision to reduce its "maximum" alarm system for preventing epidemics to a more normal level.

The North Korean leader, however insists on continuous vigilance and more stringent measures in areas bordering the country to prevent Covid-19 from entering the country in the future, citing the worldwide spreading of variations and monkeypox.
