Comedian Raju Srivastava’s health deteriorates (Ld)

New Delhi, Aug 12 : Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastavas health is declining even two days after he suffered a heart attack sources in AIIMS, Delhi said on Friday.

The source stated that the comedians condition was unstable and he is under the strict supervision of doctors.Raju Srivastava hasnt regained consciousness for the past 46 hours.

Doctors have stated that he has suffered brain damage, as per family sources.Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday called Raju Srivastavas wife Shikha to inquire about his health and offered his support the family sources said.

Alongside Prime Minister Modi as well as Defense Minister Rajnath Singh as well as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have contacted the family of Raju Srivastava to inquire about his health.Srivastava, aged 59, was admitted into the All India Institute of Medical Science Delhi on Wednesday, after he suffered an attack of the heart while working out at the gym in the city.

According to reports, Srivastava was running on the treadmill when he was struck by a heart attack and was transported to the AIIMS.The comedian was taken to a the catheterisation lab for emergency angiogram.

He was administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) twice in the course of the day.Raju Srivastava who has been involved in the world of entertainment since the mid 1980s.was recognized for his participation in the initial season of the stand-up comedy show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2005.
