CM Jagan hikes HRA to government employees, issues orders

The Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh Government has given a good news to government employees.

The State government on Wednesday, May 10, issued orders of a hike in the House Rental Allowance (HRA) for all the government employees.

The orders were issued and signed by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr.Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy.The new hike in HRA would be applicable to the employees working in the headquarters of the new districts, recently launched 13 new districts.

Further, the government has decided to increase the HRA from 12 percent to 16 percent in Andhra Pradesh.The increase will be applied to the employees in Parvathipuram, Paderu, Amalapuram, Bapatla, Rajahmundry, Bhimavaram, Narasaraopeta, Puttaparthi and Rayachoti district centers.

The employees working in these have always been demanding that their HRA should be increased to 16 percent.Finally, the YS Jagan government issued an order giving them this benefit in the election year.

Earlier, during the redistricting, the government had applied HRA hike only to employees working in the capital Amaravati and major cities.As a result, the trade unions requested the government during the discussions to apply this increase to the employees working in the district centers as well.
