Banking hours restricted to 12 pm in Telangana

Telangana government has imposed a ten-day lock-down as part of curbing the spread of the Coronavirus in the state.

However, the state government gave exemptions to certain services from this lockdown.

The state government allowed the businesses and shops to keep open only from 6 am to 10 am.Against this backdrop, changes were also made in the banks working hours.Banks will remain open only from 8 am to 12 noon.

There will be similar timings until the 20th of this month in the wake of a ten-day lockdown in the state.However, the banks will be staffed with only 50 percent staff.

Bank staff urged its customers to use services like online banking, ATM, UPI, and Bank Mitra for transactions.On the other hand, there have been changes in the working hours of banks in Andhra Pradesh as well.

The state-level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has limited banking hours in the state from May 11 to 18 from 9 am to 12 noon.Banks will remain open till 2 pm but transactions are allowed till 12 noon.

SLBC has advised the account holders to come to banks only in urgent cases.
