Viveka Murder Case: CBI drags AP CM’s Name, Jagan plans for legal action

The CBI has filed an additional counter in the Telangana High Court while opposing Avinash Reddy’s petition for anticipatory bail in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case.

The name of Chief Minister YS Jagan is mentioned for the first time in this case.

The affidavit claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy was informed about the death of Y.S.Vivekananda Reddy much earlier than the actual time of 6.15 a.m.on March 15, 2019.That means Jagan is aware of Vivekananda Reddy’s murder even before his PA who claims to have seen the body first after the murder.

There are many unanswered questions – Did Avinash Reddy tell Jagan about it? If Jagan was informed, why he did not reveal that prior to the PA? Why did Jagan not tell this until now? It looks like the Chief Minister maybe questioned as well if necessary.Meanwhile, CM Jagans lawyers reportedly strongly objected to the CBIs counter affidavit, which stated that the investigation into the "larger conspiracy" aspect "revealed" that the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan, had been informed about Vivekananda Reddys death before 6.15 am on that day.According to reports, Jagan expressed severe anger at the CBIs affidavit, which stated, "Since Avinash Reddy was active before and after the commission of the murder, his role in informing about the death of Vivekananda Reddy to Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is to be investigated." Jagan reportedly instructed his lawyers to take legal action against the CBI for unnecessarily involving him in this case and damaging his reputation by making false charges against him in the counter affidavits.
