After Team Indias historic Test win at Centurion on Thursday, KL Rahul, the stylish opener, said that 2021 would be remembered as one of the greatest years of Indian cricket.

This was especially true in Test formatHe said that his score of 123 against South Africa during the Test was as good or better than his overseas scores.Apart from Rahul scoring a seventh Test hundred, Mayank Agarwal and Rahul shared a 117 run opening partnership in the first innings.

Its an amazing Test win.Centurion has never seen an Asian team win in this tournament.We have been hard at work over the past two weeks to prepare for this match.

It was a great team effort and we had lots of fun during training and practice.We feel a lot more confident after going out in the first series game and putting up such a team effort, it was a great feeling.

This victory can be enjoyed for one day, then we return to training and begin focusing on next Test match.She picked up the award for Player Of The Match and attributed her win in this series opener to the lessons learned from 2018.

We learned a lot on the previous tour.Many of the same things were learned on previous tours.We have learned a lot and we have discussed as a group the lessons we learnt from the previous series.

What we can do to improve and how to succeed in South Africa.We have shared our stories with the group.

Its been a great help and we are better equipped this time.We have had a great start to this series thanks to our teams training, preparation and mental toughness.

Rahul concluded by stating that India would continue to build on the great start made at Centurion during the Tests at Johannesburg.We will build on what we have and continue to improve one game at the time.
