Two years of MVA: There is no downfall, Humpty Dumpty still sits firmly on top of the wall

By Quaid NajmMumbai, Nov 28, : Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP, dismissed last week another statement by Bharatiya Janata Party State President Chandrakant Patil, predicting the downfall Maha Vikas Aghadis 2-year-old government.

He claimed that he had said it "at most 28 times before.

" Another Sena leader, Dr Raghunath Kuch, was also granted MoS status. He said that all the BJP leaders are crying about spilt milk and how "the Sena betrayed BJP", at least five times per day. This is more than 3,500 times in the two years since the MVA government with Chief Minster Uddhav Thackeray assumed office on November 28, 2019.Kuchik said, "This must be some kind of a world record.

In May 1996 the late PM Atalbehari Vajpayee stated - in a dignified fashion - how he felt only once and gave-up office, but never again." Yesterday, Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane claimed that the BJP would form the government in March.

The normally stern Nationalist Congress Party state President and minister Jayant Patil rolled his eyes and asked why there was "such a long-term limit".Nana Patole, the President of Congress State, reacted sarcastically, stating that "the BJP’s never-ending forecasts for the MVA fall” are continually being proven wrong.

The MVA is celebrating its second anniversary on November 28, and it is aware of the hawkish Opposition that counts the days, weeks, or months until the collapse of the Shiv Sena NCP-Congress government. The Opposition isnt just the belligerent BJP in the State and Centre -- there are many central agencies, several Bollywood personalities and even Raj Bhavan, a friendly neighbourhood, with whom there have been infrequent letter wars - not exactly what you need to make a smooth sail.

The MVA was not spared by the ghost of actor Sushant Singh Rajput when it celebrated its first birthday in November 2020.Instead, it was haunted in February by a abandoned SUV with 20 gelatin sticks near the home Mukesh Ambani and a threat notice.

This was followed by the murder by Mansukh Hiran, the vehicle owner. This triggered a series of political developments which rocked the 3-party government.

The unceremonious transfer to Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh was followed by his letter bomb hurling allegations against Anil Deshmukh, the former home minister, and was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.Singh is now facing corruption charges.

Minister Sanjay Rathod was also removed from his post.Another half-a-dozen Sena NCP ministers or senior leaders, including Hasan Mushrif and Anil Parab, Eknath Khdse, MP Bhavana Gali, ex-MP Anandrao Adsul and Sanjay Rauts kin, as well as the family of Deputy CM Ajit Panwar, are under the scrutiny of the central agencies.BJP leaders cheerily watch.

Despite the "betrayal and downfall" cacophony, Thackeray managed to make waves with his handling the Covid-19 situation. The state won accolades from the Centre and abroad, continued to attract investments, and the 3 partners maintained camaraderie despite occasional hiccups.

One point, Thackeray, a confused BJP official, retorted at the BJP by saying that "the MVA will be completed not for five years but that it is here to stay 25 years".NCPs Malik also rattled the Opposition by stating that many former defectors from Sena-NCP–Congress to BJP would make a ghar-wapsi and return to their parents soon.

After the raids on the Cordelia cruise vessel by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2, Malik became the face for the MVAs blitzkrieg on central agencies with his sting(ing operations) against the NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede. The luxury ship swoop was losing credibility and Wankhede was under pressure from Maliks exposes about his alleged fake caste certification and other fraudulent documents.

The Bombay High Court also frowned at the raids and the intentions of the NCB.It also stated that the charges against the Minister were not totally falsified.Other fronts are also being struggled by the MVA, such as the GST dues from Centre, the elusive promised assistance for natural calamities which have befell state in the last two years, and the Kanjurmarg land to house the Mumbai Metro car shed.

After navigating multiple crises over 24 months, another Big Test is in the near future for the MVA as well as the BJP -- the elections of some large civic bodies such Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, Vasai Virar, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.Although Sena-NCP is firm on a prepoll alliance, Congress state and Mumbai leaders continue to thump chests like Tarzan, singing the Ekla Chalo (Go Alone), dismaying the other two allies, but making sweet music for the BJP.Senior leaders of the ruling alliance are well aware that these are difficult times and they need to make tough decisions to stop a mass exodus, or even a rebellion within their ranks. This was evident in Panvel recently with many Congressmen joining NCP -- especially with the BJP fox watching the MVA flock.

Despite being discouraged by its failed toppling games the BJP is vying to win big civic poll wins to re-sharpen the sword and expel what it calls the Maha Vinaash Aghadi regime. However, many leaders privately admit that its a futile exercise.(Quaid Najmi may be reached at [email protected] qn/b #downfall #Humpty #Dumpty #sits #firmly #wall #Mumbai #Bollywood #Cricket #BCCI #ICC #IPL.
