IND v NZ: New Zealand wins the First Test with Latham and Young’s opening stand

Kanpur, Nov 26th : New Zealand won the second Test at Green Park Stadium here in Kanpur on Friday with a victory run by Tom Latham and Will Young.

The visitors were 129 runs ahead of India at stumps.

Young batted on 75 (180 balls) and Latham batted on 50 (165 balls).India was trailed by 216 runsYoung resumed at 72/0 at tea and reached his fourth Test century with a thick outer edge that rolled past Umesh Yadavs wicket in the 28th over.

Young continued to score runs against Yadav and smashed consecutive boundaries on the wickets off-side.Tom Latham, who played a cautious defensive game and waited, managed to sweep Ravindra Jadeja through mid-wicket in the 39th Over, making it the century run of the opening partnership.
