Saudi-led airstrike strikes Yemen’s capital, destroying a factory

Sanaa : Nov 24, 2014 - The Saudi-led coalition bombed a factory in Yemens capital Sanaa.

This is what the Houthi militia claimedAccording to Xinhua news agency, the factory for plastic materials is located near a major hospital and approximately 2 km from Sanaa International airport controlled by Houthi.

The factory is owned and operated by a Syrian citizen, the militia-run Al-Masirah TV reported Tuesday night, without giving further details.The Saudi-led coalition stated in a statement that the airstrike had destroyed a major target where the Houthi militia used ballistic missiles to store in Sanaa’s Dhahban neighborhood.

Residents of Sanaa claim that a series powerful explosions were heard, and that a large fire was seen miles from the target site.The strike came just hours after Al-Arabiya TV reported on Al-Arabiya TV that the coalition had intercepted a bomb-laden aircraft aimed at Saudi Arabia’s Najran International Airport.
