Yogi appoints SP Turncoat to Head of UP Transgender Welfare Board

Lucknow, November 18 : The Yogi Adityanath government appointed Sonam Kinnar vice-president to the newly formed Uttar Pradesh Transgender Welfare Board.

The Boards chairperson is Chief Minister Yogi Amityanath.On the orders of the Supreme Court, this Board was established earlier in 2011.Sonam was a Samajwadi Party member.

She joined the BJP in august and, after assuming her present position, cursed" Akhilesh Yadav, chief of Samajwadi Party.He said that he wouldnt return to power, and that the BJP would form a government with a majority.

She stated that she will contest Yadavs 2022 Assembly election if offered the chance by the BJP to do so.The BJP will have support from the Kinnar community of 5 lakhs in the state, she said.Sonam was unsuccessful in her attempt to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections against Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader from Amethi.
