Kartarpur Corridor to Reopen Soon

New Delhi, Nov 16th : In advance of Gurpurab, which marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak the first Sikh Guru, the government will soon reopen Kartarpur Corridor to Pakistan.

After a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP MPs from Punjab, the decision was reached.However, the Sikh pilgrims have already been allowed to travel to the Kartarpur gurudwara via the Attari-Wagah border.

The Indian government was also asked to reopen the corridor earlier in the week by Pakistan, which twice this year refused permission to allow Sikh pilgrims into the country.Inaugurated in 2019, the corridor was closed last year in March after the Covid-19 outbreak.
