‘Jeans’ Combo To Repeat In Kollywood?

Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun starring Ayushmann Khurrana was one of the bonafide Hindi hits of recent times.

The film also starred Radhika Apte and Tabu in pivotal roles and was well received at the box office.

The film created a sensation in Bollywood after its release and has even received the National Award.It has already been reported that Andhadhun is all set to be remade in Tamil with actor Prashanth of Jeans fame in the lead role.Director JJ.Fredrick of Ponmagal Vandhal fame has recently been roped in to direct this yet-untitled Tamil remake.The film will be produced by Prashanths father, Thiagarajan under their home banner, Star Movies.

Now the latest buzz is that the makers of this remake have approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play Tabu’s role from the original.Prashanth and Aishwarya earlier acted in Shankars classic film Jeans.

It is being heard that the discussions are in the final stages and an announcement about the same is awaited.The shoot of this remake will commence from December as per the update in Pondicherry.
