2 cyclones to hit AP in October: IMD forecast

The Indian Meteorology Department has forecast two more cyclones in the Bay of Bengal due to the La Nina effect and the Indian Ocean dipole movement.

Recently, the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were severely hit by the cyclone Gulab.

The vigilant officials immediately evacuated the people in the low-lying areas to the rehabilitation centres based on the warnings of the IMD.Now, Andhra Pradesh is going to receive another two cyclones in the coming days.Of these, the first cyclone is expected to hit AP on the 14th or 15th of this month, followed by another on the 21st of this month.

The state is expected to receive higher to moderate rainfall during these cyclones.Northeast winds are currently blowing over the south coast and Rayalaseema and northwesterly winds over the north.

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rains in some parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.In the last 24 hours, Kamavarapukota received 69.5 mm of rainfall, Vijayawada and Mangalagiri received 56.3 mm of rainfall, Ananthagiri received 56 mm of rainfall, Sattenapalli received 54 mm of rainfall, and Guntakallu received 49.5 mm of rainfall.
