BCCI announces Women’s IPL schedule.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced the squads for the Womens T20 Challenge which will take place next month.

Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj will be leading Supernovas, Trailblazers & Velocity, respectively.

The four-match tournament will take place in UAE from November 4 to 9.Jemimah Rodrigues (Supernovas), Deepti Sharma (Trailblazers), and Veda Krishnamurthy (Velocity) have been named as vice-captains.Sri Lankan all-rounder Chamari Atapattu, Shashikala Siriwardene, West Indies Shakera Selman, and South African pacer Ayabonga Khaka are four overseas players in Supernovas.

The squad also includes the likes of Priya Punia, Anuja Patil, Taniya Bhatia, and others.Mandhanas Trailblazers include Bangladeshs Salma Khatun, Englands Sophie Ecclestone, Thailands Natthakan Chantham, and West Indies Deandra Dottin.

Englands star all-rounder Danielle Wyatt, New Zealands Leigh Kasperek, South Africas Suné Luus, and Bangladeshs strike-bowler Jahanara Alam will represent Rajs Velocity.Apart from Raj, Julan Goswami will also be in action during the T20 league.The senior pacer will play for Trailblazers.

While Mithali had quit T20I cricket in 2019, Goswami had retired from the shortest format a few months before the T20 World Cup in 2018.
