Theatres in Tamil Nadu To Be Closed From Tomorrow

The entire country is suffering from the second wave of coronavirus pandemic and with passing day, the rise in COVID-19 cases and the daily death toll is breaking the hearts of many.

With the alarming rise in positive cases, the Telangana Cinema Theatre Owners Association has voluntarily decided to shut down the theaters in the state until the situation turns into normalcy, and in AP the government has already reduced the capacity to 50% seating.

On the other hand, the Government of Tamil Nadu is also taking various measures to control the spread of coronavirus in the state as more than 14,000 people are affected every day.Now the latest update is that the theatres in Tamil Nadu have been ordered to shut down from April 26th, coming Monday, due to the spike in the Covid 19 cases in the state.Not only theatres but all public places like recreation clubs, bars, auditoriums, meeting halls, shopping complexes, and malls are also said to close.

Dhanushs Karnan was the last big film to be released in theatres which has already set the box office on fire and has become a profitable venture.The film is directed by Mari Selvaraj.

Incidentally, Ram Charans Tamil dubbed version of Rangasthalam was supposed to release on the big screens in Tamil Nadu on April 30th.But the makers will now have to look out for another date after the theatres get re-opened.Keep watching this space for more updates!.
