BJP candidate M Raghunandan Rao won over his nearest TRS rival Solipeta Sujatha.
According to the official reports, BJP’s margin stood at 1118 votes against nearest rival TRS. The official reports say After 23 rounds of counting, BJP’s margin stood at 1118 votes against TRS rival Solipeta Sujatha.Recently, the Election Commission has declared the result and said, BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao has won the election.
BJP was in the lead as soon as the counting started.However, TRS candidate S Sujatha gained momentum at the sixth and seventh round.
The dominance has played hide and seek game till the nineteenth round.But BJP gained the majority votes in the final rounds and bagged the Dubbaka seat upsetting the ruling party.
The by-election has held after TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy had passed away due to ill health.Earlier, two exit polls declared the victory for TRS victory in Dubbak by-election, while one exit poll resulted in BJP’s favour.
Of late, Congress candidate Cheruku Srinivas Reddy is has failed to give a tough fight to BJP and TRS candidates.Finally, BJP has got 63140 votes while TRS and Congress grabbed 62022 and 21969 votes respectively.
