First Look – 1600 Innovas, 1600 2 Wheelers for T Police

From August 15, the cops of Telangana state will be donning a ‘dark blue uniform.

’ They will also be patrolling in brand new Toyota Innovas with GPS and 4G Internet services, instead of the age-old Rakshak vehicles.

All police officials, irrespective of their wings like traffic, crime, intelligence etc., would have a common ‘dress code.’ This is to bring uniformity in the force.

To build Hyderabad brand image and upgrading policing system Chief minister KCR decided to makeover the city police.K.Chandrasekhar Rao called for improving the working quality of the police on par with international level.Recently KCR gave his nod to the police department to buy 1650 Innova vehicles and the required number of two wheelers.

All Rakshak Vehicles will be replaced with new Toyota Innovas along with GPS and 4G services.Age-old Motorbikes will be replaced with High-End Motorbikes.

About 1,500 new two wheelers would be purchased.As the date is nearing few vehicles with sample designs already reached Hyderabad for further approval.

A siren and blue color bulb would be fitted on the Innova vehicles.It is said that the new vehicles would be handed over to the police department by KCR on 15th of August
