Responding to the chaos created by YSRCP leaders over Gram Panchayat Elections, Yanamala urges Governor to help SEC.
It is known news that a few YSRCP leaders are heavily criticizing the AP State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar for announcing Gram Panchayat Elections in February.Leader of the House in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the Governor should intervene in the matter and give full freedom to the State Election Commission (SEC) to conduct the local body elections peacefully.
Speaking to media officials on Wednesday, Ramakrishnudu said, the polls shall go peacefully.
Earlier, the AP government has rejected to permit SEC for carrying a video conference with the collectors.Giving his views on that, Yanamala said it was unfair on the part of the government to say that video-conference was not necessary.
Further, he said, it is the responsibility of the Governor to transfer the government machinery if the Election Commission requests as per the Article 243 k (3) of the constitution.He said YSRCP is afraid of facing defeat in the local body elections if it happens in February.
For the same reason, YSR Jagan is pushing hard to change the election dates, said the TDP leader.
