The capital Amaravati issue seems to be silently damaging the YCP.With this, the YCP govt decided to repeal the three capitals bill.The damage incurred to the YCP seems to be high, especially in areas close to Amaravati.The result of the recent municipal elections is a testament to this.
TDP came to power in Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna districts.
On the other hand, in Vijayawada city, it has become a difficult task for YCP to win.Even in the last election, the results did not come as expected for the YCP in Vijayawada.TDP won the eastern seat in the city, and the YCP won the central seat with just 25 votes majority.TDP secured the MP seat in Vijayawada.
Even two and a half years later, everything seems to be in favour of the YCP as it is in power.
But as opposition to the YCP grows due to the Amaravati issue, hope arose in TDP.It seems like there is no favourable environment for YCP MLAs and ministers in Vijayawada West and Central.So, it can be said that the YCP might lose the three seats in Vijayawada.
