New Delhi, November 19 : , The Indian Youth Congress held a candle-light parade in memory of farmers who died during the Farmers’ Movement against contentious farm laws that were later repealed by the Central government. Numerous Youth Congress staff participated in the march.
The Youth Congress paid tribute to farmers by saying that “the country can’t forget the conspiracy against farmers and the conspiracy in which they were humiliated.”
It said, “The country will always remember .,” everything it has ever spoken.”
Srinivas B.V., President of Youth Congress said that the arrogant government must bow to the “peasant movement”, one of the most challenging movements in independent India’s history.
He stated that although many efforts were made “harassing the truth”, the truth prevailed in the end.
Srinivas BV praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that the former chief of the party made the “brutal Government realise the power the farmer months back”.
