New Delhi, Nov 29, : , The Youth Congress, under Srinivas B.V.as National President, paid tribute to the farmers who lost the struggle and organized a meeting in their honor. Srinivas B.V.stated that the repealing of agricultural laws was a victory for democracy in the country and the ‘Annadata.”The Congress party has always stood by farmers, but we also want there to be a discussion within the Parliament about who these three black agricultural laws were brought.Now that they are being withdrawn the government should explain why it took so long to cancel them.” He said.
The government should also examine in detail the case of farmers being murdered in Lakhimpur Kheri.
It should take strict action against those involved.
He demanded a memorial be built in memory of the farmers who died during the agitation.
This memorial should be a symbol for struggle and sacrifice for future generations.
He also demanded fair compensation for all families.
More problems are faced by farmers and labourers.MSP, loan waiver, is just one of many problems.
We will continue to support them and fight for them until the farmers get justice.
The parliament passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 on Monday amid much sloganeering from the opposition who wanted a debate.
