Now, it is expected to reveal a new phone — the Xiaomi 12 Ultra — sometime in February. GizmoChina claims that a tipter confirmed the possibility of the launch following the Chinese Spring Festival.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be initially released in China, but may see a worldwide release in the near future.
According to the report, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra codenamed L1 will feature major camera highlights.
The periscope supertelephoto lens would be one of these highlights.A previous leak also revealed that the camera may be powered by Leica sensors.
Recent news from Leica was that it ended its partnership relationship with Huawei.This could lead to a new collaboration with Xiaomi.
The rear of the smartphone had been rumored to have a quad camera system.The smartphone will feature a main Samsung GN5 50MP primary lens, a 48MP secondary lens with 2x zoom, a 48MP lens that can zoom in at 5x, and a 48MP sensor capable of 10x zoom.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with two cameras and a display measuring 6.5-6.6 inches in height.It is also expected to have a resolution of 2k.Similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro, this display is also available.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC.It will also have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.It may also come with fast charging, similar to that of the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s 120W rapid charger.
