The internet is a wonder box full of interesting clips and pictures that manage to go viral every once in a while.However, sometimes, the internet manages to serve some rare sights that always leaves the internet excited.
One such clip was shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, Sudha Ramen.
The IFS officer shared a clip of the elusive Nilgiri marten, and it is the most beautiful sight you will ever see.She shared the clip with the caption, “This not a black Panther which might excite you.This is Nilgiri marten, an arboreal endemic and endangered animal to smaller pockets of Western Ghats.This is the only Marten species available in South India.” when the animal is first spotted in the frame, it seems as if it is a black panther.But on a closer look, one can see the yellow neck of the marten.The marten is found in the hills of the Nilgiris.
It is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List, an inventory of the global conservation status of biological species.
