New Delhi, November 20, 2018 : The US intelligence agencies discovered evidence of this year’s construction on what they thought was a Chinese Secret Military base in the UAE.This was Stopped by Washington, according to The Guardian report.
The Wall Street Journal stated that satellite images of Khalifa port revealed unusual construction inside the container terminal owned and operated by Cosco, a Chinese shipping company.

Evidence included large excavations, apparently to build a multi-story building.

The site also had a cover that was used in apparent attempts to hide the evidence.

According to reports, the Biden administration had urgent discussions with UAE officials, who seemed to not be aware of Military activities.

According to the report, there were two conversations between Joe Biden’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed al-Nahyan and Abu Dhabi’s crown prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan in May and August.

Late September saw Jake Sullivan (the US’s national security advisor) and Brett McGurk (the White House Middle East Coordinator), travel to UAE to present details about US intelligence to Emirati officials.

McGurk returned this week to meet with the crown prince.According to The Guardian, after US officials visited the Khalifa site recently, work on the construction was stopped.

This report is four years ago, when the Chinese navy set up a base in Djibouti.It was also its first overseas base.The Chinese-run port at Doraleh hosted it.
