Itanagar 15 August : Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday stated that with the active intervention of the Central government, work on the sub-project of 2,000 megawatts Subansiri Lower, the biggest hydro-project in India is moving quickly.
The Chief Minister stated that work on the 2,880 MW Dibang projects will also start shortly.

“People of Dibang Valley district and Lower Dibang Valley district helped greatly in solving the long-running land acquisition issue related to this power project that has opened the way for an investment of between Rs 30,000 and the tune of 40,000 crore in this region,” Khandu said after raising the flag of the nation on the occasion of the Independence Day in Itanagar.

He stated that, out of the installed capacity of the power generation of 1,139 734 MW was added in the last six years.

According to Khandu, Arunachal Pradesh recorded the second-lowest mortality rate in the country during the Covid pandemic with recovery rates consistently at or above 99 percent.

The Chief Minister stated that the government of the state had adopted a revised program for surrender, rehabilitation and rehabilitation of militants in the states to facilitate the rehabilitation of young people who are misguided to assist their departure from the road of violence and returning to normal life.

An initial contribution of 5 crore rupees was made to this program, he said.
