Djokovic posted a statement from the Professional Tennis Players Association along with a photo of him.

According to the statement, the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA), is calling for independent evidence that confirms Peng Shuai’s safety and whereabouts.

We are more concerned about the safety and well-being of our players than anything else.

We must all unite, and we should be ready to act if there is no corroborated evidence about Peng’s well-being.The statement stated that #WhereisPengShuai was not being found.

Serena Williams stated that she was shocked and devastated by the difficulties Peng Shuai faces. She should be found and safe as quickly as possible.

We must investigate this matter and not remain silent. We send our love and support to her during this difficult time.#whereispengshuai.”

Peng Shuai (35), a former Grand Slam doubles champion has disappeared from public view ever since Peng Shuai accused Zhang Gaoli (75), of forcing her to sex at Zhang Gaoli’s home. This was in response to a social media post that she posted on November 2nd.

The report stated that Chinese censors diligently scrubbed her name, and any vague references to her claims, from the internet.

The silencing campaign failed to succeed outside China. The Women’s Tennis Association, (WTA), and some of its greatest stars past and present have stood by Peng and demanded her location.

The Chinese state media released Wednesday’s screenshot of an email purportedly sent by Peng to the WTA.This prompted concern and the Chinese state media has since defended Peng, claiming that “everything is fine.”

WTA Chief Steve Simon spoke to CNN about the email and described it as “a staged statement of some kind”.

Peng also stated that the association was “at a crossroads with China”, and threatened to withdraw business from the country if Peng isn’t safe or her claims are not investigated properly.
