When asked about his position on Covid-19, the Serbian, who lost in the semi-final of this year’s ATP Finals to Alexander Zverev from Germany, replied “we’ll just wait and see”.
Craig Tiley, the Australian Open director had stated categorically on November 20, that only players who have been fully vaccinated will be permitted to participate in the tournament starting January 17.Djokovic is the nine-time Australian Open champion and the defending champion.He has not disclosed his vaccination status or whether he plans to be vaccinated prior to the tournament.
