Washington, November 19, : , Skygazers will be delighted to see Friday’s longest partial lunar eclipse.Although it is not a Blood Moon, the effect on the moon could make the sky appear reddish brown. When the moon crosses into Earth’s shadow, it is called a lunar eclipse.NASA says it will be the longest eclipse of its kind in almost 600 years, but only people living in North America, South America, Australia and the Pacific Region can see it.
At 1.02 AM EST (11.32 A.M.IST), the lunar eclipse will continue until 7.04 A.M.EST (5.34 P.M.IST).
The umbra, or darker portion of the shadow of the Moon, will cover more than 95% of its disk at 3.45 AM EST.Red will result.It might be easier for you to spot the colour with binoculars, or even a telescope.
At 4.03 AM EST, the eclipse’s peak will be visible.This is the ideal time to view the bright red color.
The redness of the Moon’s umbra will begin to fade by 4.20 AM EST.The Moon’s opposite side appears to have been bitten.
NASA stated that the Beaver Moon eclipse was a lunar eclipse.
The moon will be redder if there is more dust and clouds on Earth during an eclipse.As if the sun and moon were projected on to each other.
NASA stated that this partial eclipse was extremely long because the moon is at the very farthest point from Earth’s orbit, known as the apogee.This means that the moon moves a little slower in the shadow of Earth.
NASA also stated that the eclipse was almost complete means the moon spent more time within the umbra of the Earth than in a “more partial” eclipse.
It’s the longest partial moonrise in millennium.The time is three hours, 28 mins and 23 seconds.
Since February 18, 1440, there has not been a partial lunar eclipse lasting longer than three hours and 28 minutes.
According to the space agency, November 8th 2022 will be the next long total lunar eclipse.
