San Francisco, Aug 9 : The meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp has announced that it’s now letting users delete messages for up 2 days after they were sent. Twitter, a microblogging site Twitter, WhatsApp announced the change in the option to delete messages that have been sent.
“Rethinking the message you sent? You’ll have less than two days to erase your messages from chats after hitting Send,” the platform wrote on Twitter.
WhatsApp allows users to erase messages for in up to two days, and for a period of 12 hours following having sent it.Prior to this, the limit was 1 hour 8 minutes and 16 seconds.
The platform is scheduled to launch a new feature which will give group administrators the ability to erase messages for all members.
WhatsApp releases a new version via the Google Play Beta Program, updating the version to 2.22.17.12 and will let administrators of the group delete any message that is shared by all users.
The Meta-owned platform is working to let users modify their text messages to be used in an upcoming update of the application.
Recently, a picture shared by the website revealed that the messaging service is in the process of developing an option that lets users correct any errors made after sending an email.
