Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with several familiar faces as a part of Fit India movement first anniversary.
Fit India movement is the BJP-led Indian Government’s prestigious movement to make every Indian healthy.
On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi interacted with several fitness enthusiasts from across the country as the Fit India movement completes its first anniversary.Accordingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to India cricket team captain, Virat Kohli to culminate the significance of fitness and proper diet for a healthy life in the modern-day busy life.
While talking to Virat through video conference, Modi has asked the importance of the Yo-Yo test, which has been made mandatory by the Indian Cricket management to measure the endurance level of athletes.Responding to the question, Kohli said the test was introduced to take the fitness levels of each player to a higher level globally.T20Is and ODIs finish in a day, but the real fitness test comes in Test Matches.All the players have to play five full days and each day everyone has to bounce back with utmost fitness, explained the Indian Captain.
Further, any player including him fails the test, he will not be available for the selection, added Kohli.
After his answer, Modi cracked a joke at Virat asking whether he is missing Delhi’s Chole Bhature or not.Virat giggled and said, it was his favourite food on cheat days, but the demands of staying fit for the game has made him stay away from such food.
At present, Kohli is in UAE leading RCB in IPL 2020.
