By Haresh Jhala Ahmedabad 12 August : Former Union minister and president of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, Bharatsinh Solanki believes there is an immediate Congress-Bharatiya Jaata Party battle in the forthcoming Assembly elections.To get to the magic number of 92 seats in the Assembly of 182 seats and the Congress will join forces with similar-minded party, he said.

In an interview with IANS Solanki said, “Once the Congress joins with like-minded political parties, it’ll be in an easy fight with the BJP There could be a couple of additional parties in the fight but their participation will be minimal or on a couple of seats.There is no chance of an angular or four cornered race.”

Bharatsinh is the son of the former Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki who coined the term “KHAM” (Kshatriya, Harijan, Adivasi, Muslims) social engineering in the state.He believes that times have changed the way we think about social engineering.
