Makkal Selvan Vijay Setupathi was supposed to make his debut as an actor in Bollywood, with the film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha‘ which is the official remake of Tom Hanks ‘Forrest Gump’.Aamir Khan plays the lead role in the film and Kareena Kapoor Khan is the leading lady.

Ever since the news was out that, there have been numerous reports on the reasons for Vijay Sethupathi opting out of the film.There were reports that Aamir Khan had wanted Vijay Sethupathi to reduce weight for the character but as he failed to do so, he was replaced in the movie with another actor.
Vijay Setupathi did not reveal anything about this new so far but finally, this ‘Uppena‘ star has now given a clarity that he did not walk out of the film due to the weight problem, instead, he came out of the project due to date issues.Vijay Sethupathi’s dates became messed up due to the Covid-19 pandemic and he couldn’t adjust the dates for Aamir Khan’s movie as he is preoccupied with a number of Tamil and Telugu films.
Vijay says he has huge respect for Aamir Khan and would love to work with him sometime in the near future.He also praised Aamir Khan as the sweetest gentleman and had come to a village in Tamil Nadu where Vijay Sethupathi was shooting and narrated the story and made him agree.
