Patna : , Dec 30, 2013 – A day after Lakhendra Kumar Raushan, a BJP legislator, was subject to a storm of protests from his village of Vaishali, Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas President Chirag Pawan asked Chief Minister Nitish to conduct a thorough investigation and provide speedy justice for the victims’ families.
The incident with the 20-year old Vaishali Dalit girl is tragic.

He wrote to Chief Minister, stating that the state government and administration must take tough action against the perpetrators as well as provide support to their families.

We have seen many instances of Dalit persecution in Bihar lately.

This should concern the Chief Minister for Bihar.Paswan said that the government of his country has not taken action against the perpetrators.”Vaishali was the result of gang-raped and brutally murdered a Dalit girl by the village strongman,” Paswan stated.

A Dalit woman, who was gang-raped and killed in Shahpur Bijrauli village which falls under Patepur Assembly constituency (reserved to SC), kidnapped her.

A week ago, the village strongman kidnapped the victim from her home.Her mother attempted to rescue her, but was told to keep silent.

She was then informed that the strongman of the village would release her daughter after only two days.

Her mother was not allowed to release her victim by the accused, so she went to them to request her release.

However, they beat her and made her leave.Four days later, the semi-naked corpse of the woman kidnapped was found by the village pond.

The village was enraged and organized a candle-lit march to protest the actions of the suspects.

Raushan is from Shahpur Bijrauli village and went to the funeral home to console his family.

He was met with anger by the villagers.

Raushan was a villager, according to the villagers.However, he did not arrive until three days later.The incident was captured on video and went viral online.

Villagers shouted “Go back!” to Raushan, forcing his convoy to leave.They shouted, “There is no room for him in this village.”

Upendra Kushwaha, President of Janata Dal United Parliamentary Board, met with the victims’ family and promised a thorough investigation, an arrest and a swift response.
