Corona vaccine will be given to children (15 to 18 years of age) in the country from today.Vaccination registration started on Saturday morning, January 1 on Co-win application.
A large number of teenagers registered within 36 hours of the start of the registration program.As of noon on January 2, more than 4.5 lakh young people had registered.
So far, 145.52 crore vaccine doses have been administered, according to the Union Health Ministry.Of this, the first dose was Rs 84.73 crore and the second dose was Rs 60.79 crore.Currently, the centre only allows children to be vaccinated with Covaxin.However, two more vaccines will be available for children in a few days.
Covaxin should only be given to children between the ages of 15 and 18, according to guidelines provided by the center.For this, one can register in the Co-win app, said Dr.RS Sharma, Dr RS Sharma said the 10th class ID card would also be considered for registration.
Although the Drugs Controller has approved Bharat Biotech Covaxin for emergency use in children aged 12 to 18 years, the Government has decided to start vaccinating only children aged 15 to 18 years.
