Young Mega hero Vaishnav Tej has been the most talked-about actor in Tollywood for the last one week.His maiden film, ‘Uppena’, has turned out to be a record-breaking success, by erasing all the existing box office records for a debut hero film in India.
Now, it seems like there is no stopping to the collections of ‘Uppena‘.The emotional love story struck a chord with the audience and the film has been garnering unexpected numbers at the box-office.
These are phenomenal numbers for a film that has a debut hero, heroine, and director.This explains that the content is king and nothing can beat it.In the first three days, ‘Uppena’ minted 24.97 crores in AP and Telangana combined while it got another 3.32 crores from other parts of India and the rest of the world.On Sunday, the film earned a share of 8.26 crores in the Telugu states.It stood in sixth place in terms of highest collections on the third day (Non-BB) pushing big films like ‘Maharshi’, ‘Khaidi No 150’, ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and ‘Aravinda Sametha’ behind.
Moreover, Krish and Vaishnav Tej have an upcoming film which is getting raining offers as the trade is stunned with ‘Uppena’s’ success.Initially, the film was supposed for OTT release on Netflix but the news is that this film will now have a theatrical release.
The movie was based on a novel that impressed Krish liked a lot.Rakul Preet Singh has played the female lead role in this movie.It was made on a low scale and the entire shooting got completed in just 40 days.The first look and title will be revealed very soon.
