This was achieved in less than five year.The state now has five international airports, the most in India.
This puts the state’s total number of international airports at two since 2012, when Varanasi was awarded this distinction.After being inaugurated on October 20, 2021 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Kushinagar international airport became operational.

Work on Ayodhya’s international airport is in full swing.Air services will begin early next year.

Jewar, near Noida (NCR) will be the fifth international airport.

Uttar Pradesh currently has eight operational airports.13 additional airports and seven airstrips are under construction.Lucknow, Varanasi and Kushinagar are the airports that handle commercial flights in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh’s unique ability to provide unmatched air connectivity throughout the country fits in with the Government’s pledge to maintain uninterrupted multimodal connectivity across land, rails, and water.GatiShakti National Master Plan, the ambitious prime minister’s plan for infrastructure development has given the state a new sense of urgency.

After completion, India’s biggest airport will be the Noida International Airport.It is being built near Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar.

The airport is located approximately 72km from New Delhi’s existing IGI Airport, and 40 km away from Noida.It is also close to the Multi-Modal Logistics Hub at Dadri.

The airport terminal will link it with the High Speed Rail (Delhi–Varanasi), and will be close to existing Yamuna Expressway (Greater Noida – Agra) and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Phase I will be completed within 36 months and have the capacity to handle 12 million passengers per year.

The airport will be expanded to accommodate 70 million passengers in each phase.This is subject to traffic growth.

It is 47 kilometers from Gorakhpur, and was inaugurated on October 20, by Prime Minister NarendraModi.Kushinagar, which is home to Buddhist pilgrims worldwide, is located 47 km from Gorakhpur.

It is believed Gautam Buddha attained Nirvana in Kushinagar more than 2,500 year ago.You can connect to numerous Buddhist pilgrimage sites, including Lumbini District in Nepal, Sarnath near Varanasi and Shravasti close Bahraich.

With the Kushinagar Airport and proposed NIA, eastern and western Uttar Pradesh’s air connectivity will be greatly improved.

This will be an incredible achievement by a nation that’s on the forefront of progress in this country.
