Bengaluru 5th September : The most renowned education technology platform Unacademy on Monday announced 50 new channels for education on Google’s owned YouTube.Certain of these new channels feature already existing content categories from Unacademy as well with new areas, such as “Tick Tock Tax”to simplify tax concepts of indirect and direct as well as Life After IIT — an opportunity to help students pass JEE and share success stories of top-ranked students.
“We are stepping up our efforts towards democratising education by presenting an effective content strategy for students who seek knowledge in innovative and engaging methods,” stated Vivek Sinha Chief Operating Officer of Unacademy.
Unacademy also announced that it will be in partnership with GATE Academy and all GATE candidates will be able access to high-quality content for the category.
Umesh Dhande has joined the Unacademy platform as Vice President Academics, GATE & ESE according to the edtech platform.
The channels for education cover broad categories, such as NEET UG and JEE, UPSC and other post-graduation programs as well with banks, SSC and defence.
The company was founded by Gaurav Munjal, Hemesh Singh as well as Roman Saini in 2015, Unacademy has grown to include a network of more than 91,000 registered teachers and more than 99 million students offering education in more than 14 Indian languages.
As the space for online education is shrinking, Unacademy has also forayed into opening physical tuition centers across the nation.
