New Delhi, Aug 16 : A woman and her mother-in law were killed by unknown attackers in the city’s Shahdara area police reported on Tuesday. A top police official stated that the victims had been identified as Dolly Roy and her mother-in-law Vimla Devi.
“They were home when the incident occurred.Vimla is the mother of two boys, and both weren’t in Delhi.
The next morning, when the two sons made it to Delhi they discovered the door shut from the inside.They were able to open it with an additional key.When they entered, they found the bodies lying in the pool of blood.” stated the official.
The police reported that valuables and cash were taken from the home and the preliminary investigation suggests that the attackers had an unfriendly entry in the home.
“The attackers even tied the dog with rope.
We have taken the bodies for post-mortem examination and filed an investigation into the murder,” said the police.
The official stated that they were studying CCTV footages of the area in order to get an idea of who was responsible for the attack and various teams have been set up to solve the case.
