Rampur 18 Aug : Two FIRs are being filed against the senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohd Azam Khan over allegedly threats against two witnesses in various case filed in 2019 and currently being examined in the MP/MLA court in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur. One witness stated that five people came into his home on Tuesday night and threatened him to not testify in the court.
Another witness said that relatives of Azam such as Abdul Parvez Shamsi, Ishan Mahmood Moin Pathan, and several other men entered his home late on Tuesday evening and demanded with recording his testimony.
When the FIRs were registered the complainant first was brought to the court , and his “partial declaration” was recorded.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sansar Singh told reporters, “We have registered two FIRs against Azam Khan and other suspects under sections 147 (rioting) and the 195a (threatening anyone to give false evidence) 506 (criminal intimidation) 120b (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.”
