Bengaluru : , Two brothers who assaulted policemen in a road rage incident have been arrested by Karnataka Police in Bengaluru. Social media has made the video viral of two brothers attacking police officers with ‘lathis’.
Dheeraj, Manoj, and SI Shreeshail, both Yelahanka residents, beat up some constables Monday night as they returned home.
One side of the road was closed to traffic, and vehicles were plying on a narrow section.This was due to ongoing civic work.Shreeshail was riding a bicycle, but the accused were riding in a car.A dispute broke out between them at a narrow spot about backtracking vehicles.
Shreeshail called the police constables to the scene.
Despite police presence, the accused continued to argue with Shreeshail and assaulted SI and police constables.They dragged them along the road, hitting them with their laths.
The public had to intervene in order to pacify both parties.
Sources claim that the incident escalated violently when the police officer used abusive language against the brothers and asked them to surrender.
Sources revealed that one of the accused worked at Swiggy while another worked for a private firm.
