A tragedy took place in the Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.Two boats capsized in the Sileru Reservoir which has 8 people.
Out of eight, three people reached the shore safely.Five are found missing.
So far, locals found only one dead body.
Locals and police are carrying out a search operation for the remaining four.
The tragic incident took place near Sileru reservoir.The incident took place while all the victims were on their way to Odisha on a boat.
Police identified the missing as villagers of Mamidiguda.A total of five boats were traveling in the reservoir when two boats capsized.
However, the police revealed that the body of a one-year-old baby was found during the search operation.MLA Bhagyalakshmi expressed shock, after knowing the incident.
MLA spoke to GENCO officials on the phone and learned about the accident.MLA Bhagyalakshmi asked the District Collector, ITDA to intensify relief activities.
Officers arrived on the scene and are monitoring the relief operations.
On the other hand, cyclone ‘Yaas’ is intensifying in the Bay of Bengal and is going to turn into a severe cyclone by May 26.
